A Perspective on ICD-10

An effective training strategy takes some work. Add over 150,000 ICD-10 diagnosis and procedures codes to the mix, and you have quite a challenge on your hands. The scope of ICD-10 is reason enough to stay on course with current implementation plans, regardless of the change in the mandated implementation date from Oct. 1, 2013, to Oct. 1, 2014. This  delay in the implementation date should be taken as an opportunity better prepare for the code transition including efforts to maximize your training strategy.
